The Girls Aloud star hopes to get in the studio with the rapper, 17, once the ITV show is over.

'Maybe I could rap on a track with her,' Cheryl, 27, said on The Xtra Factor. 'That would be cool.'

Simon Cowell, 51, reckons a collaboration would be a huge success.

'It's a brilliant idea - Cher and Cheryl to duet on her debut album,' he added. 'We have a verbal contract.'

Cher, Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle and One Direction are in The X Factor 2010 final.

Singer and rapper Cher Lloyd is in demand

Jay-Z and Tinchy Stryder, who jointly own record label Takeover Roc Nation, are big fans of X Factor contestants Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel.

They reckon Katie, 24 - who was voted off the show last week - and 17-year-old Cher have so much potentional, they're keen to sign them both up.

'Cher is cool. She stands out. I like the way she can rap and sing,' says Tinchy.

Simon Cowell's Syco record label has first option on both girls, but Jay-Z and Tinchy are hoping they can work out a deal with the music mogul.

'Cher is a real target for Jay-Z because she's proved she can sing really well, rap - and she's got great stage presence,' an insider tells the Daily Star.

'After Cher there's an interest in Katie too. She's quirky and no once can argue that she doesn't bring in the headlines.'

Cher Lloyd is in the final five of The X Factor but it hasn't been an easy journey for mentor Cheryl Cole.

'Cheryl's probably found Cher more difficult than previous contestants,' reveals Simon Cowell's ex-squeeze and close pal, Sinitta.

'Cher wants things her way and she has a particular mind about what she wants.'

After disagreements about style choices, Cheryl, 27, now lets 'stroppy' Cher, 17 - who cries quite frequently - express herself with her outfits.

'Cher gets upset about her clothes,' says Sinitta, 42.

'We haven't really had artists like this on the show before.

'Normally they're really pleased to be brought the latest fashion but some of these kids want a certain style.

'It's good that she's got a strong sense of herself.'

Louis, 58, knows that Cheryl, 27, has given a lot of time to Cher Lloyd but should put in more effort with ‘real star' Rebecca Ferguson, 27.






‘I think she feels a little let down,' he says. ‘You can tell that Cher Lloyd is Cheryl's
favourite.'

We pictured Cheryl Cole and Nicole Scherzinger bonding over nail polish and gossip.

But after meeting on The X Factor last week, it's safe to say the girls won't be exchanging Christmas cards any time soon.

While Cheryl and Nicole smiled for the cameras, our X Factor mole tells us the atmosphere was ‘stressy and tense' behind the scenes.

But, thanks to pleas from their mutual US dance partner Derek Hough, 25, the two women forced civility when the cameras were rolling.

‘Derek has been on at her to give Nicole a chance but Cheryl has been calling Nicole The Pussycat Mole behind her back for months,' reveals our source.

'So she was desperate to look great and called in her best stylists to avoid being outshone.'

Insiders say Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh were revelling in poor Chezza's insecurities about meeting Nicole.

‘It's like Louis worships Nicole and can't stand Cheryl,' says our spy.

‘And Simon loves Nicole too. He openly says how gorgeous she is.

'Even though Simon adores Cheryl and is only having a bit of fun, it does rile her. '
