Which Role Should Leonardo DiCaprio Take from Book to Big Screen?

Call it book smarts: Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks to turn two page-turners into big-screen successes.

The literature at stake? Erik Larson's 2003 The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America and F. Scott Fitzgerald's Great American Novel of 1925, The Great Gatsby.

DiCaprio, 35, recently read for famed director Baz Luhrmann for the role of Jay Gatsby, the millionaire of mystery with an obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan – a role Blake Lively read for.

As for The Devil in the White City, it's a killer role – literally. DiCaprio will produce and star in the movie as deceivingly charming serial killer H.H. Holmes, reports the Hollywood
